Family Resource Centers will facilitate partnerships among families, schools, and communities. Together, we will provide services that are proactive and responsive to the changing needs of our diverse communities and support children and families in achieving their goal. Vision:
The Sparks Family Resource Center is a non-profit organization. We're located in the Sierra Center Plaza next door to the Washoe County Juvenile Services Community Outreach Center on the corner of Greenbrae Drive and Sullivan Lane in Sparks. The staff and volunteers at the Resource Center are dedicated to helping children and their families to lead stronger, healthier and happier lives within their communities. We strive to accomplish this by supporting the children and their families in school, in their homes, and in their neighborhoods. If you feel that you or your children are in need of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the staff at the Resource Center. New programs and services are continually being added to the Resource Center to meet the changing needs of the community. The Sparks Family Resource Center is operated in association with Washoe County Juvenile Services Community Outreach Center. Our staff works cooperatively with the schools and other agencies to support families in achieving their social and educational goals. The Sparks Family Resource Center is funded by State and local grants and is supported by the following school communities: Agnes Risley Elementary
